Butterflies, and Seasons of Life

So, my language development sends out these emails with proverbs and such, and friday her little tidbit was this quote, "just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly," i thought about that and I decided that I really like that. I feel like that sometimes. Whenever I feel like I am really struggling, and I dont understand why the Lord would do that to me, I become a butterfly, and I get understanding. The world becomes new to me. Like the caterpillar, I leave behind the old me, and pick up the new life with a better Courtney Mae Jones. Different from a caterpillar,however, in that I have the opportunity to become a butterfly as many times as I want! Isnt that amazing!?!?! This realization got me to thinking about my sunday school lesson yesterday. The bishop taught and he talked about the seasons of life and figuring out what season you are in, and living withing that season while also realizing that there are seasons within seasons. I am happy to say that so far I am enjoying this new season of my life at ISU, and look forward to becoming a butterfly over and over again. :)

Day 4 In Pocatello

Well, here I am in Pocatello Idaho for like the first time ever in my life, other than passing through. I'm aware that its kind of pathetic but non the less it is my first time here. I have met all of my roommates but one, another Courtney (wont that be interesting). They are all really nice and I have a feeling that this year is going to be a really good year! I'm trying to keep perspective and not miss Logan, and Utah State as much, but this new experience will be good! Change is good.... right?

New Beginnings

This summer has been the summer of changes and new beginnings. I have done an inventory of my life and cut a lot of thing out that I used to think were importnant, but realized I was sadly mistaken. I had the realization that I will be 20 in 4 short months, and that I haven't done any of the things with my life that I thought I would. Sooo, welcome to the new CourtneyMae Jones! Life is too short not to live it! Almost everything has changed from my original plan. New school, new major, new roommates, new brother, new hair style, new friends, new calling, and most importantly, a new outlook on life. I'm determined to be positive about things in my life and let the Lord drive the bus. :) yay me!

Upside Down & Summertime

Well, I must say that I am a horrible blogger. My roommate Keisha did it and i though it would be fun, but my life is utterly boring. And, as soon as it gets interesting, my life gets turned upside down. I am determined never to plan out anything in my life again (not really) because everytime i do i get thrown for a loop!! Gosh! But i must say that it always works out better through the loop than i think it would have if i had done it my way. So I have been home for about a month now, and i am living with my grandparents on my mothers side. I am a nanny, which i LOVE!! Its the best job ever. Hard sometimes, ok alot of the time, but kids arent supposed to be easy. If they were, when would you learn? I have alot of time to read to. I love to read. I forgot how much i like to read, how obsessed i can get, and how many books i can read in a week! ha! I am also taking institute which i love!!!!!!!!!!! I have my old seminary teacher brother mcclure. it is the best class ever. So.. that pretty much sounds like a fun summer huh?! i think so!! ooo and im growing my hair out! its almost past the dredded awful middle stage!! onve it gets past there then i wont be so mad at it! :)

Peyton Barlow Jones

He's finally here! My baby brother Peyton Barlow Jones! Sadly, he has heart problems, and is going to Primary Children's next week to have open heart surgery. He has many heart problems, but as of now he is stable and it isnt life threatening. But he is the cuttest darn thing ever! He looks like my daddy! :)

Musical Me!

So lately I have been in a musical mode! Our tv was taken away in our apartment (long story) so all i have is music. but the only musical soundtrack that i have in logan with me is the wicked soundtrack! Let me tell you, i have a all new love for *WICKED*!!! I listen to it all day everyday! so amazing! Ah! Every song just makes me want to sing from the mountain tops! even though Glinda is two faced, and Elpheba is amazing!

Well, Hello May, Where Did April Go?

This month has gone by so fast! It has been really crazy! SOOO, there are many amazingly fun and fantstical things that have happened so far during the glorious month of April! First, I took my roommates with me to the Grande Ole' Burley Idaho Yay!!

It was so much fun!! We really had a BLAST!! I was so glad that they had fun! The next awesome thing that happened this month was the 100th episode of my favorite show ever, thanks to my dearest roommate Keisha, SUPERNATURAL!!! Oh my gosh, it really is the best show in the entire world! Two gorgeous men fighting evil, and often getting the crap beat out of them? What more could you want?!

That is the magic awesomeness of supernatural with the two most gorgeous men ever, Sam and Dean, or Jared and JENSEN!!!!!!!!!!!! oh dear, he is indeed a beautiful man! You know its true! You wanna know what else happens in veagas? haha just kidding, in april, school is DONE!!! next week, the last week of april, is my last week of school, then finals and then summer! i can already hear it calling my name!! wahhooooo! my only wish would be to have pretty red shoes to tap my heals in and make it may 7th today! Ahh, April, you were amazing indeed! I am almost sad to see you go! but not really!
